Who we buy from

Who we buy surplus wire from

Twelve kinds of sellers, one narrow purchase: electrical wire and cable with an identifiable type. Pick the description that fits and the form is the same.

The same purchase in twelve settings

A contractor's shelf, a distributor's rack, a plant's maintenance crib and a hospital's renovation closet hold different cable for different reasons, but the material is priced the same way: type, size, footage and condition.

These pages exist because the logistics differ — who has authority to sell, how the material is loaded, and what documentation travels with it. The wire itself is the same wire.

Electrical contractorsEvery contractor has a shelf of half-used reels. It is not scrap, it is not inventory, and it is usually worth more than the shelf space it is taking.Electrical distributorsRack space is inventory. Wire that has not moved in two years is occupying it.Manufacturers and machine buildersA machine builder buys cable by the spool for one panel and finishes with most of it. Multiply by every build in a year.Industrial plantsA maintenance crib holds decades of good cable bought for equipment that has since been replaced.Data centersTechnical buildings buy specific cable early, then change the design. The reels are usually still sealed and still tagged.Utilities and cooperativesDistribution crews finish a job with conductor on the reel. That conductor is not scrap, and it does not belong in a landfill either.Hospitals and healthcareHealthcare renovation happens in occupied buildings over years. The wire is ordered per phase and rarely finishes clean.Universities and researchCampus work is continuous. A lab changes hands every few years, and the electrical material changes with it.Demolition contractorsThere is a difference between wire that was removed and wire that was demolished. Only one of them is still wire.Warehouses and 3PLsA lighting retrofit consumes thousands of feet of wire and finishes with reels on the mezzanine.Solar and renewableUtility-scale solar is a wire business. Thousands of feet of PV conductor, feeder and MV cable per site, and every site finishes with reels left.Water and wastewater plantsPump stations and treatment plants run on control cable, VFD cable and long underground feeders. Upgrades leave all three behind.
