Water and wastewater

We buy surplus wire from water and wastewater plants

Pump stations and treatment plants run on control cable, VFD cable and long underground feeders. Upgrades leave all three behind.

Municipal water and wastewater systems upgrade in packages: a pump station here, a SCADA refresh there, a membrane replacement somewhere else. Each package has its own cable order.

The material that remains is specific: control cable, VFD cable, submersible pump cable and the medium voltage feeding the larger stations.

What we buy from water and wastewater plants

Control and SCADA cable

Shielded pairs and control cable from instrumentation and telemetry work.

VFD and pump cable

Shielded drive cable and submersible pump conductor from station upgrades.

Medium voltage feeders

15kV cable from station tie-ins and transformer replacements.

What we need from you

  • Type, size and footage for each reel or spool
  • Voltage class for station feeders
  • Whether the material is still in municipal surplus inventory

Small utilities, real cable

A city with a dozen pump stations generates steady surplus in small quantities. Accumulating it across a fiscal year and selling once is usually the practical approach, and we will price the whole accumulation.

Wire and cable only

We do not buy transformers, switchgear, breakers, MCCs, generators, bus plugs, chillers, machinery, poles or unrelated scrap. Mixed loads are fine as long as we are quoting the wire portion.

Water and wastewater plants questions

Do you buy submersible pump cable?
Yes, and the conductor count and jacket type are what identify it.
Can you buy through a municipal surplus process?
Yes, within whatever documentation the city requires.
Do you buy small quantities from a single station?
Sometimes not on its own. Accumulating several stations into one lot usually makes it work.
