Industrial surplus is different from construction surplus. It is bought against a maintenance plan rather than a job, stored in a crib for years, and then cleared when the equipment it was meant for is replaced.
We buy that material as wire: tagged reels, partials, sealed spools and cleanly removed cable with an intact jacket. Not as scrap, and not with the equipment attached.
| Category | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Plant feeders | THHN, XHHW and aluminum feeders from 1/0 through 1000 MCM |
| Tray and drive cable | TC, TC-ER, PLTC, VFD and shielded multiconductor |
| Control and instrumentation | 16 to 10 AWG control, shielded pairs and triads |
| Medium voltage | 5kV, 8kV and 15kV EPR or XLPE with concentric neutral |
| Flexible and welding | Welding lead, SOOW and portable cord |
| Not bought | Transformers, switchgear, MCCs, generators, bus plugs, chillers, machinery |

Why industrial loads price better
- Tags usually survive in a crib
- Sealed reels are common after a cancelled upgrade
- Conductor counts are printed and readable
- Medium voltage often has test data
- Documentation shortens the evaluation
What makes an industrial lot different
Bought in advance
Maintenance stock is purchased before the failure, so it sits unused until an upgrade clears it.
Specific by design
Cable is ordered to a machine rating, which is why a leftover reel often matches nothing else on site.
Documented
Reel tags, delivery records and test data exist more often here than on a residential job.
Industrial markets we cover
Eight industrial metros, plus the plants in between.
Send the crib list
Type, size, footage and a photo of each tag. For medium voltage, include any test data and we can price it without a site visit in most cases.
- Scheduled around production
- Full and partial reels
- Wire and cable only
