Tray cable is a factory assembly of two or more insulated conductors with an overall jacket, listed for use in cable trays and, in many constructions, for direct burial and sunlight exposure. PLTC is the lower-power instrumentation version.
Plants buy it in specific conductor counts for specific runs. When the run changes, the balance stays on the reel with the count printed on the jacket.
| Specification | What we accept |

| Conductors | 2 through 37 conductors, with or without ground, shielded or unshielded |
| Sizes | #18 through 4/0, with #14 and #12 most common |
| Rating | 600V and 2kV, sunlight resistant and direct burial where marked |
| Format | Full reels, partial reels and clean coils with the legend readable |

How tray cable is identified
- Conductor count and AWG size from the print legend
- TC, TC-ER or PLTC and the voltage rating
- Whether a ground conductor is included
- Shielded or unshielded, since shielding changes the use
- Footage on the reel tag, or an estimate from the wrap count
Count first, then footage
A 12-conductor reel and a 3-conductor reel look similar from the outside. Conductor count drives the value more than length does, which is why the legend photo is the first thing we ask for on tray cable.
Wire and cable only
We do not buy transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, MCCs, generators, bus plugs, chillers, machinery or unrelated scrap. Mixed loads are fine as long as we are quoting the wire portion.

Not sure what you have?
Read the print legend off the jacket and call +1 (614) 715-3047. For this material the tag, the insulation type and the footage are what we need.
Quote your tray cable (tc and pltc)
Send the reel tag, the jacket legend and the footage. Photographs of the tag and the reel end are usually enough to give you a number.
