Control cable carries signals rather than power: start-stop circuits, interlocks, pilot devices and relay logic. Construction is 600 volts, with 16, 14 and 12 AWG conductors that are numbered or color coded.
Because each machine needs a specific conductor count, plants end up with several partial reels that no longer match any current equipment.
| Specification | What we accept |
|---|---|
| Conductors | 2 through 37, numbered or color coded, with or without ground |
| Sizes | #18 through #10, with #16 and #14 most common |
| Rating | 600V, 90 degrees C, tray rated where marked |
| Shielding | Unshielded, overall foil, and individually shielded pairs |
| Format | Full and partial reels, plus coils with readable legends |

How control cable is identified
- Conductor count and AWG from the print legend
- Shielded or unshielded
- Numbered versus color-coded conductors
- Voltage class and temperature rating
- Footage remaining on the reel tag
Count and shield, then length
Two control cables with the same gauge can serve completely different purposes depending on conductor count and shielding. Those two facts decide whether a reel has a buyer, and the length decides what it is worth.
Wire and cable only
We do not buy transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, MCCs, generators, bus plugs, chillers, machinery or unrelated scrap. Mixed loads are fine as long as we are quoting the wire portion.

Not sure what you have?
Read the print legend off the jacket and call +1 (614) 715-3047. For this material the tag, the insulation type and the footage are what we need.
Quote your control cable
Send the reel tag, the jacket legend and the footage. Photographs of the tag and the reel end are usually enough to give you a number.
