Instrumentation cable carries low-level signals from sensors, transmitters and analyzers. It is built as shielded pairs or triads, often with an overall shield as well, and rated PLTC or ITC for tray and instrument applications.
Pharmaceutical, chemical and process plants in the Research Triangle and around Charlotte buy it in specific counts, and finish projects with partial reels.

How instrumentation cable is identified
- Pair or triad count and AWG size
- PLTC or ITC rating and the voltage
- Shield construction: individual, overall or both
- Total footage, since these reels are often short
- Whether the reel is sealed and still boxed
Small reels, specific counts
A 500-foot reel of four-pair shielded cable is a modest amount of copper and a specific product. It is priced on the count, the shield and the standard it is listed to, not on weight.
Wire and cable only
We do not buy transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, MCCs, generators, bus plugs, chillers, machinery or unrelated scrap. Mixed loads are fine as long as we are quoting the wire portion.
