Bare copper is used for grounding electrodes, bonding jumpers, overhead service and some neutral applications. It arrives on spools and reels, and it is one of the few wire products where the conductor is fully visible.
We still need the size and the footage, because a spool of #6 and a spool of 4/0 are not the same transaction.

How bare copper is identified
- The AWG size, usually printed on the spool or tag
- Solid or stranded
- Approximate weight if the tag is gone
- Whether it is clean copper or has been exposed to salt or chemicals
- The format: spool, coil or straight length
Weight helps, size decides
On bare copper a scale weight is genuinely useful, because there is no insulation to account for. We still confirm the size, since a spool of small conductor and a coil of 4/0 can weigh the same and are not the same material.
Wire and cable only
We do not buy transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, MCCs, generators, bus plugs, chillers, machinery or unrelated scrap. Mixed loads are fine as long as we are quoting the wire portion.
