Indian Trail / Union County

We buy surplus electrical wire in Indian Trail

One of the busiest residential corridors in the Charlotte metro. Indian Trail's work is service cable, branch wiring and the partial reels that follow a fast build schedule.

Indian Trail grew by building houses quickly. That pace means material is ordered in advance, some of it is never installed, and the balance sits in a trailer or a garage until someone decides to clear it.

Residential service work here leans on aluminum SER, URD and USE-2, with copper grounding conductor and branch wiring alongside.

Where the wire comes from in Indian Trail

Residential service upgrades

SER and SEU from panel and service replacements in a market where houses are being updated rather than built.

New construction leftovers

Unused reels from builders who ordered ahead and finished the phase with material to spare.

Small commercial and shop wiring

MC, THHN and control cable from the retail and service businesses along the corridor.

Wire types to send from Indian Trail

Service area, not a branch

Indian Trail is a coverage area. We arrange pickup at your site; there is no office or yard to drop material at without talking to us first.

Selling surplus wire in Indian Trail

Send the wire type, gauge, approximate footage and where it is stored. Photos of the reel tag and the jacket legend shorten the process more than anything else you can put in the form.

If you are not sure what you have, call +1 (614) 715-3047 and read the print legend off the jacket. That is usually enough to identify it.

One reel or a full storage room

Both are normal. A single reel of large copper or medium voltage is worth a look on its own; small partials are worth moving when they travel together.

What to include on the form

  • Wire type and voltage class
  • Copper or aluminum, and the gauge or MCM
  • Approximate footage left, or full versus partial reel
  • Reel, spool, coil or carton count
  • Condition and whether the tag is still on the reel
  • The Indian Trail address or ZIP where it is stored
  • Loading: dock, forklift, or ground level

Indian Trail questions

Do you buy unopened reels from a builder?
Yes, and those are the easiest to price: full footage, tag intact, no condition questions.
Can I sell a single partial reel of SER?
Yes, if it is large enough. 2-2-2-4 and 1/0 aluminum partials are common and buyable.
Do you travel to Indian Trail often?
Union County is inside our normal Charlotte-metro travel, so scheduling is straightforward.
Do you buy copper grounding wire by itself?
It is reviewed, but small lengths usually need to travel with larger material to justify a pickup.
